Welcome to the Lantern Review Web Site, v.1.0!
A Letter from the Editors
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the web site of our new online magazine, Lantern Review: A Journal of Asian American Poetry! Please feel free
to browse around and get comfortable with what's here.
Some things that we'd like to point out, of which we're
particularly proud:
- A preview of our magazine layout, which offers a "sneak peek" at the look and feel of future issues
- The LR Blog, which will feature book reviews, interviews, weekly prompts, and more.
- Our About Page, which contains our mission statement and explains why we chose our name.
- Our Links Page, which contains links to online resources, as well to as sites belonging to poets, publications, presses, and organizations of interest to the Asian American poetry community -- our friends and neighbors, so to speak.
- Our Submissions Guidelines, where you can find out how to submit work to be considered for Issue 1. [Update: As of February 4, 2010, our reading period is now open. It will close on April 15, 2010].
We'd like to continually keep improving upon this site, and to keep expanding the list of friends and neighbors that we feature on our links page. In light of this, we welcome any feedback or pointers that you might have about how to make this site more fun, more useful, or simply more user-friendly. To make a suggestion, please drop us at line at editors[at]lanternreview.com, or leave a comment on the the blog. We hope that this site will be both an enjoyable place to browse as well as a valuable resource to you in the months to come as we build up to our first issue.
Thank you for all of your encouragement, patience, and support in this process thus far. We look forward with great anticipation to the journey that lies ahead.
All the Best,
Iris A. Law & Mia Ayumi Malhotra
