Things in the literary scene are winding down for the year, and the LR staff is going to be\u00a0taking\u00a0some time off from the blog for the holidays\u00a0starting tomorrow (December 23),\u00a0and ending\u00a0on January 8th.\u00a0 It’s been a great last few months, and we’ve been bowled over\u00a0again and again\u00a0by\u00a0your support and enthusiasm\u00a0as this community has begun to take root.\u00a0\u00a0Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be taking time\u00a0to rest, spend time with friends and family,\u00a0attend to\u00a0personal matters, and prepare for LR’s next steps in 2010. In light of the fact that we’ll be taking such a long span of\u00a0time off, we’ve decided that four our\u00a0events roundup this week, we will cover a\u00a0longer time period than usual.\u00a0 The Holiday Roundup below covers\u00a0events happening from\u00a0December 23rd\u00a0until January 11th, and, since there are several contests and festivals with deadlines coming up in the next month or so, we’ve also included a list of calls for entries.\u00a0 \u00a0As always, please let us know of any corrections that need to be made, or if you have an event that you’d like to add.\u00a0 Happy Holidays!<\/em><\/p>\n
